FAQ & RULES

Firstly, please understand that this forum is not associated with Cscope, or affiliated with Cscope in any way. It is purely a forum set up for fans of Cscope Metal detectors, and for people with questions about Cscope Metal detectors.

We want this forum to be as laid back as possible, but will not allow ANY of the following rules to be broken. Metal Detecting is getting enough bad press as it is at the moment, and we need to adhering to the positive ideas concerning Metal Detecting, together.

These are the rules of this forum. Please follow them.

Illegal Detecting.

We do not support illegal Metal Detecting in any way, shape or form. Any discussion on the positive promotion of Nighthawking, or any other form of illegal detecting will be deleted, and the member, banned.

ISM's

We do not condone racism, sexism, or any other negative ISM's on this forum. Posts will be deleted, and members banned. Aggression Any aggressive posts, be they directed at other members, moderators, or Joe Bloggs down the road will be deleted, and the member banned.

was talking to scope about the setting for the 4pi, martin at csope told me to tune it up full then back it off 10% ( the right hand knob ) give it a go and let me know how you get on

Yes, that's pretty much where I have it as well. Although sometimes i come down a bit, as I prefer the lower tone.

The left knob i have on 1/4 and the i like the high tones so a have the right hand knob at 3 or just slightly over, then i get a chrisp short burst tone over coins its unmistakable.

was reading some were that to get good result with the 4pi you have to slow your swing right down
to pick up the good stuff , normal speed i pick up coins and other stuff , but was just wondering
if anyone has tried this

i had this exact problem fnding deep targets if you swing to fast youll only find shallow targets

if i slow my swing rignt down i can detect my wedding ring at 12inches deep im going to do another depth test to see just how deep i can detect it

slow is the way to go

i was always swing faster to cover more ground but if your not finding those deep goodies everyone else has missed whats the point
