6mxi or 4mxi?? Empty 6mxi or 4mxi??

Post by barnabythebear Sun Feb 21, 2016 12:47 am

Hiya all,

I posted this question over on metaldetectingforum but thought it wouldn't hurt to post it here too Smile

I'm getting back into the hobby after a long break and two machines that look pretty good are the 4mxi and the 6mxi. The 4 is certainly more my budget but does the 6 have any features that make it really stand out over the 4? Does the 6 have any more depth?

Also I was wondering if anyone had experience of comparing these machine to either the XP Adventis 2 or the GMP?

Thank you very much,

Nige.

i,v had a gmp,
i,m now using the 6mx i prefer the 6mx, has the discrimination is loads better , i can disc silver foil out without fear of missing hammered,
tones are better making it ,easy to distinguish , good from bad targets, go for 6mx, you wont regret it

Hiya weeder,

Thanks for your input. It's interesting you rate the 6 higher than the GMP Smile

i,m in no way knocking the gmp, dont get me wrong

its the tones that the 6mx give out that win it over for me

i,v seen it said that the 6mx is a clone of the gmp,
in part this is true,

Hiya,

Just a quick update Smile

I managed to locate a second hand 6mxi for £250.00 Smile  Really exited to get out and about with it once I have my first permission finalised!

Thanks,

Nige.
